Warranty and Returns

Mansfield Outdoors is proud to distribute Tentipi Adventure products and we’re confident you’ll equally be proud to own them.  Tentipi makes investment grade outdoor products from the finest materials available globally.  They are made with great pride and care, and are designed to last for a lifetime and beyond.

As such, all Tentipi Adventure tents come with a limited lifetime warranty, to the original owneragainst defects in materials and production faults. Should they ever fail due to defects in materials or production faults, we will repair or replace the defective item at no cost to you.  The decision to replace or repair will be made by Tentipi.

Despite extensive research and care in materials selection and workmanship, customer hereby acknowledges that nothing lasts forever.  Problems associated with normal wear & tear, abuse, or improper care will not be covered by the warranty.

The Eldfell wood burning tent stove is shipped in a lightweight plywood transport box designed to protect the stainless steel stove during the shipping process.  The plywood box itself is often subject to scratches, dents, and cracks beyond our control during the shipping process and is not covered by this warranty.

Tent stakes/pegs are not covered as they often bend or break over time through normal usage.

Common problems that can contribute to damage or premature aging of your investment:

Extended exposure to UV rays

Tentipi Adventure tents are not intended to be used as permanent structures.  Even though our fabrics are treated with special UV inhibitors, extreme, long-term exposure to the sun’s UV rays will cause premature aging and damage and is not covered by the warranty.

Improper storage

Improper storage is the most likely cause of problems with any tent fabric.  While these impressive fabrics will handle being packed away wet overnight, or even for a couple of days, DO NOT pack them away wet for any significant period of time.  Take all precautions to ensure your tent has been fully air-dried, either erected, draped, or hung, before storing.  Damage caused by improper storage is not covered by the warranty.

Stove and open fire

Tentipi Adventure tents are designed to be used with either an open fire or a wood stove.  However, extreme caution must be used at all times.  Keep people, pets, sleeping bags, clothing, etc. away from heat sources.  Stoves and stove pipes are extremely hot and will burn anything that contacts them.  Always use a spark arrestor when using a stove. Enjoy, but respect all heat sources used inside a tent. Damage caused by heat sources is not covered by the warranty.

Snow accumulation

Do not allow heavy snow loads to accumulate on your tent.  While a tipi’s conical shape naturally helps to avoid build-up, wet snow in particular can accumulate to surprisingly heavy weight loads.  Extremely heavy snow loads can bend and damage the central pole. Take care to shake snow off your tent during periods of heavy accumulation.  If you must leave your tent for long periods in snow country, simply take the central pole down.  Clear the snow and re-erect the central pole again upon return.  Warranty does not cover snow load damage.

Returns

Mansfield Outdoors customers may return new, unused items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, excluding shipping charges, except that Mansfield Outdoors will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of an error on our part.  Original sales receipt is required.

Return of merchandise is not permitted without prior approval and must be mailed within 30 days of receipt of merchandise. Mansfield Outdoors reserves the right to charge a 20% restocking fee for any product returned that is not deemed defective.
